Chevy Chase on Saturday Night Live’s Bias

Chevy Chase, in an interview with CNN, tells the interviewer that he intentionally portrayed Gerald Ford negatively to hurt his chances for re-election. Chase went on to say that Sarah Palin has been the brunt of so many SNL jokes and skits for the same reason.

SNL Executive Producer Lorne Michaels claims SNL is not partisan. And, while Tina Fay as Sarah Palin parodies are funny, Palin seems to occupy a pretty lonely spot in the cross hairs of SNL. How much influence this has on voters is hard to know.

It’s a shame SNL’s Palin parodies seem to be malicious.
